Is your advocacy team going to get left behind AGAIN? It’s pretty typical that when an organization rolls out a new piece of technology that its focus is on fundraising or membership. In short, the revenue-generating parts of the organization.
Don’t let this same thing happen with AI! While you might be shy about using it now, I’m confident those feelings will change over the next 18-24 months.
As your leadership team contemplates how the organization should (and shouldn’t) use AI, it’s vital that an advocacy representative is not only at the table but is a strong contributor to the conversation.
The only way to achieve this is for you to start dabbling in and learning about AI. Even if you’re not personally ready to use it yet, you need to understand how it can benefit your team and your work. Otherwise, you risk being left off the list of approved use cases being developed by risk-averse IT and legal teams.
Not sure where to start? Let’s find some time to talk and I’ll be happy to brainstorm with you.
Having used AI for more than 18 months, I’m telling you it can be a game-changer for building the capacity and improving the work quality of your team (all without putting jobs at risk).
