As a consultant, I shudder when I ask a client why they did something a certain way and they reply with, “That’s how we’ve always done it.” Fortunately, in most situations, the response came from a lack of realization that there could be a better way. Although, especially at larger organizations, such behavior can stem from a history of discouragement or outright laziness. 


Growth, improvement and evolution require change. Regardless of where you work or what you do:


  • Ask why! 


  • Challenge the status quo! 


  • Test new ideas and behaviors!
